Interação entre substratos e fertirrigação na germinação e na produção de mudas de Tagetes patula L. (Compositae)

Abstract


The effects of different substrates and "fertigation" were observed on the germination and further development of Tagetes patula L. in greenhouse, at FCA V-UNESP, Jaboticabal, SP. The fertigation mode was combined with four different substrates, as follows: burnt rice rusk- CAC, two commercial mixture substrates - MCl and MC2, anda mixture of peanut rusk, Schanchin powder and vermiculite, in the proportion 6:1:1-A VX. All these substrates were physically and chemically analysed. The substrate treatments were disposed on poliestirene trays containing 128 cells, sub-divided on four plots and five replications. Every day 6 litres of tap water were added at the trays. Monoamonic phosphate (lg/ 1) was added to fertigation treatments every Monday and Friday. The trays were kept on beds at 1,20m high from the soil leve 1. lt was noticed that: 1) the emergence speed is higher in the A VX substrate, and the fertigation is able to in- crease it. 2) there is a significant interaction between the substrates and the fertigation, but not ali the substrates allow a better seedling developrnent when the fertigation is applied. The MC2 by itself was the best substrate, giving alrnost the sarne results as the fertigation treatrnents in the other substrates. ln the MC2 treatrnent the plants were taller, with higher leaf quantity, and the development was faster with higher nurnber of blossorns, which irnproved the bloorning.
